My original sd ram was 256mb 133hz.
Initially i purchased a less frequency RAM(67Hz) than the one iam already having installed in my PC.When i installed it a serious error report was created which diagnosed that the error was mostly caused by RAM, to solve the error Windows recommended to upgrade my BIOS.Could u identify the reason of getting the PC hanged up in the middle when i have correctly installed the 256 mb 133Hz SD RAM?

How should i update my BIOS.The motherboard model is P4M266A-8233.
I exactly don't know the motherboard manufacturer.VIA chipset is being used.Could u help me out with these details?I tried with only the new RAM being installed in it, the system didn't hang up even after its long use.But when i tried with the old RAM, the system got hanged up soon.My old RAM was in a working condition when i purchased a new one only to upgrade my RAM and not to replace it.
