My original sd ram was 256mb 133hz.
Initially i purchased a less frequency RAM(67Hz) than the one iam already having installed in my PC.When i installed it a serious error report was created which diagnosed that the error was mostly caused by RAM, to solve the error Windows recommended to upgrade my BIOS.Could u identify the reason of getting the PC hanged up in the middle when i have correctly installed the 256 mb 133Hz SD RAM?

You might have to Upgrade (Flash) your bios if it is an older machine. The newer machines usually recognize new RAM without a problem. Have you tried using one RAM chip at a time to make sure they both work individually? One could be damaged. But it sounds like it is probably the bios. Find out your motherboard manufacturer and model number. They should have an upgrade online you can download. I bet this will fix the problem.

Hi. Your BIOS needs to be able to support 512 MB of RAM. Some do not. Try a BIOS update.
