Yes. Anything that can hold and transfer data can contain a virus. Someone would have to put it there of course.

Absolutely. Jump drives and removable disks store data just like a regular computer hard drive and are capable of getting the same viruses.

Oh, yeah, and; yes, it is possible that any time you obtain data that you did not enter into the computer yourself, or that has been connected to another computer could contain a virus, trojan, or other malware. That includes music CDs from Sony last year (which Sony confirmed had a "rootkit"; hidden software that installed itself without your permission).
Making sure your virus scanner is on, its definitions are up to date, scanning disks whenever you put them in, and turning auto-run off are easy ways to help prevent getting new malware.

Hi. Yes. A jump drive can contain anything a hard drive can. You can scan them for malware too.
