It really depends on where she would go to school and what type of program she would enroll in. I am currently a psychology major, in the process of earning my Bachelors degree. At my school, for the program that I am in, she would have to take 120 credits. However, I believe to earn her Associates she only needs 60 or 70. Keep in mind though, that mostly everywhere, to practice psychology (even in a school setting), or to get a well paying job within the field, she is going to have to at least get her Masters as well, which is three additional years.

If the school your mom is attending is a semester school 120 hours for a bachelor's degree. If the school is set up in quarter's then your mom would need approximately 180 quarter hours for a bachelor's degree. Then if she decides that she wants a master's degree it is another 36 to 45 semester hours. I'm not sure about quarter hours in grad school.

Is this an undergraduate or a graduate degree? Where? Is it a quarter or a semester school? At my university, she would need 120 semester hours for a bachelor's degree, which would be 5 classes/semester for 4 years, but that may vary by school.

From what I know its 36 credits just for Psych thats not including all the other requirements and credits that the school may want you to have, in order to graduate.
