Honestly, I think that Aaliyah could sing . Ciara could sing to. But they sing on different levels.You really can't compare them because they have/had their own styles and plus Aaliyah is dead so u don't really know where she would have been in her career now. When Ciara first came out I didn't like her because she reminded me too much of Aaliyah until I realized that she wanted to be her own person....and I think that u need to give this Aaliyah vs. Ciara junk a rest. I mean the girl has been dead for like 6 yrs now. Give it a rest. But truly I am a total Aaliyah fan. R.I.P.

Aaliyah could sing. She could rip too but she sang more mello songs. Ashanti can sing. Ciara is okay but not that great.

Fantasia can't sing??? Are you crazy? The girl can sannng! It's called soul. old gospel mixed in with r&b as with most Black pple.
Beyonce can sing too, Aaliyah, and Ciara can sing.
Janet Jackson just always sounds like she's whispering! I still like her though!

ciara can dance.(but her outfit seems like she stole it from aaliyah) and ashanti can sing, but her lyrics arent that great. outa the three of them, aaliayah wins hands down at being the best. and ciara can dance, but its off of aaliyah

Ashanti can sing. Aaliyah can definitely sing. And whoever said Mary J, you must be kidding! They may not be Whitney or Mariah caliber but they all can damn well sing.
I'll tell you how can't sing - Fantasia. I can't stand her voice, it drives me nuts. And she gets too dramatic in her vocal tone.
