Well, initially business had been conducted all over the world in English as a common communication language!

That now is changing. I do not think anyone can argue that the Japanese are not prosperous! There are a lot of non- English speaking countries that are doing well, and unfortunately for those who know only 1 language, they are going to find it more and more difficult to conduct business as English is not the common language for all! The landscape has changed!

Because we draw our core values from a bunch of pigheaded German Farmers.

A man's home is his Castle.

Hard work, Fair Dealing.

Cooperation, Not Obedience, (And who does the King think he is, anyway?)

Rule by Law and no man above it or below.

Bend the knee only to God, Not to any man.

Trust the Bible, not the Priest.

Live and Let live, left to it.

Kingship comes from consent, not from God.

Truth is worth the price, for an oathbreaker has no worth.

From that kind of thinking was modern Democracy born. And whoever has adopted those principles have done well for themselves. It's when we forget them that things go bad.

Follow the think. It explains much and is good for a laugh.

Colonisation. Because at the time, Britain was the most technologically advanced nation and were able to force these upon their colonies with much success. You can look at Asia and the most properous country there, Japan. They are that way because they activly sought this kind of technology to avoid colonisation so you can see that it has a big impact either way. This is change in the future though.

"cantcu" would be wrong and needs to study his history. Less than 150 years ago, French was considered the "International Language." That is no longer so as english has had that status for many years. Just one more reason for the French to hate us...lol.

You got it. It got its start from the British system.

The U.S. took over from Briton who took over from France/Spain.

Who's next?
