That is a bunch of hooey. That is the federal classification for it but is just a load
Medicinal properties:
Green marijuana, boiled and sweetened with sugar and milk or condensed milk is used in other countries for chest colds and bronchitis
Dried marijuana, boiled with peppermint, and sweetened with honey is used in other countries for asthma.

Used for nausea for AIDS and chemotherapy patients
Smoked to dialate the vessels for glaucoma patients. Ironic considering, the same gov't that calls it illegal also distributes it to certain people. Case in point:
1st person who has since passed, Bob Randall, was provided marijuana by the government for glaucoma
Irvin Rosenfeld was 2nd person in the nation to be provided marijuana by the federal government for his disease, multiple congenital cartilaginous exostosis. The government has been providing the cannabis for the past 25 years.

what gives it the high chance for abuse is when the product is laced with something else such as Cocaine, heroin or LSD. Then it gives the impression of it being a gateway drug.

Alcohol and tobacco is more addictive and there are those schools of thought that consider tobacco more addictive than heroin.
Caffeine is just as bad and withdrawal from it causes severe headaches and body pains etc. just another legal drug.

Marijuana has many medical uses. It helps treat depression, glaucoma, and pain. There are many good things about marijuana that the F.D.A does'nt want you to know about, because it is'nt government regulated. If the government made profits from marijuana, they would advertise it just like all the other drugs they advertise on T.V. Ever notice some of the horrific side effects of government regulated drugs! Some side effects even include death. No one has ever died from an overdose of marijuana. The only claimed side effect of marijuana is short term memory loss, and that's not even correct. Someone who uses marijuana and can't remember a current topic, probably wasn't interested in the subject in the first place. And we all know what alcohol does to people. But that's legal, that's government regulated. So are cigarettes. Do you wanna trust government claims?

You're preaching to the choir.

Weed doesn't make the gov't money, therefore it's illegal and gets a bad rap in any forum willing to publish the gov't stance.

I've used pot for years for lower back pain. It does what methodone and hydrocodone could never do: dull the pain.

Oh, and for the record, I'd much rather have a chronic stoner behind the wheel instead of a drunk.

There has been some research saying that marijuana does relieve pain for some medical problems.BUT you also need to remember that it DOES cause problems and it is VERY addictive.People who says that it is not addictive probably smoke it and don't want to admit to it.

Where I live their was a man who was smoking pot and caused a car accident killing the other driver. He went to trail and the jury found him guilty,he got 10 years prison sentence without parole.

False . Cannabinol has a place in the treatment of cancer pain and multiple sclerosis associated cramps . No proven risks , even at high doses .

Nicotine has no medicinal use (in fact it's a poison) and a high chance of abuse .

Caffeine has medicinal uses , some addictive properties and some minor risks to health . (however in it's pure form , it is a POISON) The caffeine in (I think) 80 cups of coffee could kill a human adult .

Alcohol has few medicinal uses (cough sedative) , it has a high risk of abuse and is dangerous to health in large quantities (also considered a poison)

It is not addictive so I don't know why they would classify it with a "high" chance of abuse. That is meaningless. What is abuse. What is high chance. Typical governmental meaningless classifications.

Certain southern politicians & bureaucrats in the 40's decided that Marijuana was evil and made black men rape white women, so it must be outlawed.
A smear campaign was launched, unprecedented in history to ban a simple weed.
See the movie "Reefer Madness" The evil weed is shown causing murder, rape, suicide and horror of horrors INTERRACIAL SEX!!

That is how marijuana is classified by the federal laws.

It's based on politics and money, not medical science.

high chance of abuse my ***, yeah.

it is funny how people put so much energy on telling untruthful stuff about marijuana but not other higher level drugs such as meth (that drug is extremely dangerous), ice, heroin, etc..

marijuana is 100 percent not abusive
