All dvd burners are EIDE.

IDE is actually a relic of the past the successor was EIDE

Modern drives holding gigabytes of information just would be a bottleneck with IDE.

Well I have answered a few of yours, same as I said before, the cables are the same thing, so there will be no difference. The E in IDE takes place on the hardware, cable is no different.

you can not go faster than the dvd burner will allow so most likely not
