Aloha nvan,
What you are asking about is called "Absurdism" (note the proper spelling). It is a philosophy which states that the "efforts of humanity to find meaning in the universe will ultimately fail (and, hence, are absurd) because no such meaning exists, at least in relation to humanity. The word Absurd in this context does not mean "logically impossible", but rather "humanly impossible"."

If you are interested in reading a good book on the topic, I recommend Albert Camus' "The Myth of Sisyphus": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Myth_of_Sisyphus
"In the essay, Camus introduces his philosophy of the absurd: man's futile search for meaning, unity and clarity in the face of an unintelligible world devoid of God and eternity."
"Does the realization of the absurd require suicide? Camus answers: "No. It requires revolt." He then outlines several approaches to the absurd life. The final chapter compares the absurdity of man's life with the situation of Sisyphus, a figure of Greek mythology who was condemned to repeat forever the same meaningless task of pushing a rock up a mountain, only to see it roll down again. The essay concludes, "The struggle itself is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.""

It becomes easy to live when we acknowledge the fact that we have primarily a spirit dwelling in this equally holy body... and body is just a guest house where spirit is resint for a night. and body need not be made an instrument of attachment, as it is going to change into energetic youth, and Old man, and ultimately consigned to flames when the spirit leave the body. With this knowledge the life becomes easy, relaxed and least friction to encounter. But at the same time , mere acknowledging this statemetn does not help much. It has to come from the inner conviction. mental acceptance of the statement is fine. but it is beginning and it has to end in feeling and experiencing this statement, with the consistent and persistent practice of spirituality, under guidance of a Master.

Most radio shows will take questions listeners have about things they've heard on past shows. You need to put your memory to work to identify the timeframe in which you heard this.
Find the website for the NPR station you listen to in your area. Check their program schedule to match up the show you were listening to when you heard this person talk about this.
Call the show WHEN IT IS ON THE AIR and ask them if they can help you to identify this person. Hosts from other shows won't do this but hosts will do this for their own show.
Also, many stations have FAQs for how to get information from them. You can check the website of your local NPR station and read the FAQs. Likely they will cover this procedure because they get so many calls they try to streamline the process of answering questions.
It's worth a shot if it's important to you. Good luck. Hope this helps.

'Absurdism is a philosophy stating that the efforts of humanity to find meaning in the universe will ultimately fail (and, hence, are absurd) because no such meaning exists, at least in relation to humanity. The word Absurd in this context does not mean "logically impossible", but rather "humanly impossible".[1]
Absurdism is related to Existentialism, though should not be confused with it. Absurdism as a concept has its roots in the 19th century Danish philosopher, Søren Kierkegaard. Absurdism as a belief system was born of the Existentialist movement when the French philosopher and writer Albert Camus broke from that philosophical line of thought and published his manuscript The Myth of Sisyphus. The aftermath of World War II provided the social environment that stimulated absurdist views and allowed for their popular development, especially in the devastated country of France.'
The problem lies in the fact of our genesis in our search for meaning, how we arrive at the beggining or start of it. I believe that is where the search fails, because the reason is false, that meaning is an externality for self, when in our birth right meaning was born with us, but in a matter of a course, we become self estranged humans and search for a thing, a something, and that something is special and differentiable of all else, but in this false mantra, the words for it do not exist.

it means when you first heard something or saw something, and it looks pretty cool but it's actually really dumb, and when you take another look at it and find out how dumb it was, life will become alot easier, because you actually know.
