a plunger may work, a rodder is what is used by pro plumbers.

how any idiot would pick vinegar is incredibly stoopid.this has no dissolving properties whatsoever.

If it is a secondary line - kitchen (it will most likely be grease), which you may be able to push it further down, but you will eventually have to have the line ran by a plumber. Boil 6 or 7 big pots of water & flush it.

If it is not grease, but food debris from a garbage disposal, then you will have to have a plumber out.

Any homemade potions or drain cleaners that you can get at the store may only give a temp fix & honestly, plumbers hate to run lines that have had draino or something put down them because it gets on the snake & on the gloves.

Bathroom secondary lines like the tub or bathroom sink, will be hair & if you get something that will dissolve hair, it will also dissolve the pipe & you will need a plumber there too.

If it is a main line - just call the plumber.

to confirm that it is only secondary & not main - if you flush the toilet it is either slow or comes up in the tub/shower. If you run the kitchen or bathroom sink & it comes up in the tub/shower or from under the toilet (between the floor & toilet) - these are main line symptoms.

Over many years I have found household bleach is the universal drain cleaner,as a matter of fact some drain cleaners are nothing but bleach. I usually pour a significant amount in the drain, then rinse off bleach on chrome with a cup of water, let it stand for an hour with out using water. Then stop sink fill bowl with warm water and let it go, it usually works unless you have a real bad one. Don' pour bleach over draino or other type drain cleaner.

That depends on the drain if it is in the bathroom you can unwind a wire hanger to "snake" the drain and remove any hair by pulling upwards then pour 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup white vinegar - let stand 10 minutes and run cold water to clear drain. In the kitchen pour bail as much standing water as possible out of the sink then pour Boiling water in the sink directly into the drain. If it fails to clear you may need to remove the U trap (place a bucket) or pan under before you start to catch any water. Good Luck!

It sounds to me like there is a few lady on your place it somewhat is inflicting your project or you enable it go too long. or you could desire to have some sons with pony tails. What i'm getting at is HAIR. it relatively is the biggest project with bathing room drains (Sinks and tubs). in case you could, do away with the small drain interior the bathtub (in line with threat a small screw) carry it tight to maintain it from dropping down and get a skinny twine with a small hook on the top and attempt removing the hair it somewhat is caught interior the drain. you will see that the hair is long and coated with cleansing soap scum enhance. to sidestep this you could conceal the drain with a copper scrubbie used for pots and pans or see if the Orange field sells some thing to conceal the drain and capture the hair. some sing drains have a plunger it somewhat is used to open and close the sink drain. it relatively is a sprint coplicated as under the sink there's a spirng that holds the rod for the drain that must be bumped off. frequently the techs at domicile depot or Lowes will show how its finished. as quickly because it s bumped off the drain could be lifted uot and the hair and junk bumped off. warm water and drano in basic terms do away with most of the cleansing soap scum and not the hair . make a journey to the super bins and seek advice from the people interior the plumbing section and have them show you the way the drains artwork and how they arrive aside for cleansing. Prevention is the huge style one helper. It seems complicated yet after looking and notice how its finished it relatively is straightforward

Pour 1 cup salt, 1 cup vinegar and 3 cups boiling water down the drain. Wait an hour, and then flush with cold water. The drain should be unplugged. If not, repeat until water flows freely.

I'm not sure you can use household items for a clog. The only that will work is a clog chemical. Good luck
