Down. I think he deserves his day in court if he chooses to fight this issue, but I think it is very likely he will lose if he does take it that far. Unfortunately it does not matter whether he is guilty at this point or not. I think it is evident that he has lost the confidence of the American people in general and as such should resign on that basis.

JackBauer: I am not a liberal, so I guess you need to amend that statement. Or do I get a pass for being a conservative who believes in equal justice for all?

Up or down doesn't really matter at this point. Gonzales was appointed by President Bush, who has an abiding love for the Hispanics. The U.S. is just wasting money on this debacle. Whatever damage anyone thinks he might have done, he will be gone, just like Bush, in about 18 months. The next president will appoint his own Attorney General; and, I don't believe that person will be Alberto Gonzales. Let's address more substantial issues within America--the No-Child-Left-Behind Act; the most disastrous act ever perpetrated upon American education.

Tempest in a teapot. Mainstream America is yawning. Dems will have to go back to the drawing board in their unending effort to "Watergate" Bush. Scooter didn't do it. This isn't either.

All down vote only care because he is a member of cabinet. It is purely partisan or a few conservatives that just don't care.
