Pakistan can be dealt with diplomatically. Given the volatile nature of the Islamic world we must not forget that India and Pakistan are necessary to contain the threat of an openly expansionist China. That is the real threat in Asia.
Iraq has been destabilized because the idiots in charge removed all the Bathists regardless of rank or reputation, rather the way the Union did with the Texans after Lee surrendered. Too bad Bush doesn't read history. Texas has never forgiven Washington for the way it was occupied.
Now, because there is a power vacuum in Iraq and the jihadists have a chance to seize the state. With Iran and Afghanistan we have helped create a huge problem, which we are trying to solve by using conventional troops and tactics. We have become the redcoats and the fundamentalists the minutemen.
Did I mention Bush doesn't read history?
Every martyr has a value beyond words. I suspect old George is not really a Texan after all, since he has forgotten the Alamo. I know how we got into this mess, but how can we get out of it?

Iraq and Afghanistan are great places to be if you want to invade Iran and Pakistan. Bush has it all set up. If the Democrats in Congress make Bush tell the troops to leave Iraq and Afghanistan all Bush has to do is tell them to go east and move into Iran and Pakistan. Maybe the liberals in congress really like Bush and want him to look good, so making him tell the troops to leave Iraq and Afghanistan is their way of saying we should invade Iran and Pakistan to solve the problem. That we be so cool !

Or we could try not blowing random countries back into the stone age for a while.
There will always be tensions in the world and those that disagree and even present a threat to each other. Continuously looking for excuses to go to war will make that worse not better.
North Korea agreed to suspend all nuclear activity without us having to kill a significant portion of thier civilian population or torture anyone - perhaps we could learn from that.

I don't think any countries with the exception of Afghanistan should have been invaded. The terrorists needed to be brought down covertly. The War on Terror should have been a war the CIA waged not our National Guard.

Yes, Pakistan has 1,000's of madrases that trick Muslim parents in refugee camps to give up their children with the promise of a better life only to brainwash them at a young age to hate Americans and grow up to be suicide bombers. It(Pakistan) is the worlds largest terrorist training camp.

Bush blundered.....interesting to see if he can really live with that as the years ahead beckon. We need to go full throttle into Pakistan, taking off the politically correct kid gloves.

If we had attacked Iran instead of Iraq, you'd be saying the EXACT same thing, you'd just swap the names of the countries.
Your objective is NOT to win the war on terrorism, your objective is to bash Bush.

1. Bush is already in over his head in Iraq.
2. Iran doesn't have WMDs.
3. Nuclear weapons are the only proven deterrent against US aggression. With nutjobs like Bush and Cheney in the white house rattling their sabers, any sane country in their crosshairs should be developing nuclear weapons as fast as they can.
