This morning my internet was running at 6mbps and now it runs less than 1mbps. I have my computer plugged into my router via an ethernet cable. I restarted my router but the problem still persisted. (My isp is bellsouth, just so u know). Any suggestions would be great.

Go to regcure.com and clean your system. It's free and no harm to your computer. It will at least triple your speed if you clean your files, defrag and use a registry cleaner. It helps if you don't have a bunch of stuff loading at launch. Best of luck to you!! And remember to scan for spyware/virus. If you are being hijacked, you will need to unplug your computer and modem for a few hours, then scan and repair. Be sure to use new passwords, etc.

Have you removed your surfing history? Click on tools, delete browsing history. Also click on start, programs, accessories, system tools and disk cleanup. If you use a registry cleaner, make sure you create a restore point. Some reg cleaners will mess up your computer.

well, first off 6mbps is extremely slowly, the slowest mines ran is 100 mbps. and u probably either have a virus on it slowing it down or u have to much stuff on it.
