Hemp plants are marijuana. How could they not be made up of the same "ingredients", they are one in the same.

Marijuana has a male and female of the species. One contains THC, which is what gets you high. The other does not contain the genetic makeup for a buzz and is regarded as hemp. Hemp can be used in all aspects of anything made from the fibers including clothes, paper products, textiles, etc....the possibility of it's uses is rather endless. Hemp at one time was one of the top cash crops across these United States. Then the government decided it could make more money criminalizing the plant as a whole instead of using the one sex to substain our rising consumerism.

Yes. I saw a show on PBS about an Indian reservation where they were growing a variety of hemp that had less than 1% of the THC in marijuana. The feds still confiscated the plants.

Marijuana is Indian Hemp, aka, cannabis. It has been bred to contain far greater amounts of THC than it did originally (though it was still enough to get you high). The hemp products you buy in stores are not Indian Hemp. They contain only tiny amounts of THC. You get way more high from drinking a starbucks.

Hemp is from the marijuana plant. It does not have THC(the junk that gets you high), that is only in the leaves. The woody part of the plant... stem ect... is what hemp (such as hemp rope) is made out of .

I was watching a program on PBS, I believe, about a Lakota Sioux tribal farmer who had undertaken to prove his crop of hemp was free of hallucinogens and therefore legal to grow. Unfortunately, he has not succeeded and his crop is destroyed annually by the federal government. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name or particulars except that he is well known by the Sioux tribe on the reservation in South Dakota and the tribal leaders. Good Luck if you care to attempt to contact him.

I am guessing you are refering to hemp seeds and hemp oil. normally thy would contain THC(chemical thats gets you high)but the hemp oil and seeds sold in health food stores is specially bred to contain only trace amounts, not detectable by any urine test.
