Looking to visit Alaska.
Not sure when is the ideal time to visit there. I don't think I can handle more than 18 hours day light and anything colder than 30 degrees F during the day.

Plus what part of Alaska should I visit? I want to see nature but do not want to camp or go hiking. I am not that sporty or granola.

Thanks.

Summer is the best time to go. Perhaps August where the temperatures are (usually) about 70 degrees F.

Where to go? There are many places. Alaska is really big. You can try Denali National Park, which is about 4 hours away. A good option is the take a scenic train from Anchorage to Denali. You can spot Mt. McKinley on the way. At Denali, there's plenty of nature: forests, rivers, hills, lakes, and wildlife. You can also take the 18 mile (?) scenic bus ride into the park, which is very beautiful. Many stops (including wildlife spottings) on the trip.

Between June and August. I suggest you contact a good travel agent for more information. There are many pretty places to visit, I hope you are not going alone. Be careful if you head out by yourself, Alaska is the rape capital of the U.S. next to "sin city".
