Yes, I could be happy without money. I've been poor and rich.
Money isn't what makes the difference. It's your attitude.

I would like to be able to have the basic necessities of life to be looked after. Food, Shelter, etc. But I am a simple person anyway so material things are not that important to me.

money is very very important to me...not because i am materialistic, but because it gives me a sense of security. i don't think i could be happy if i had no money cause like i said money gives me a sense of security, and if that sense of security is gone, then i won't feel happy or content.
