depends on where you live. Florida 14 2 hours a day no more then 14 hours a week. must be off before 6pm. and can not work during school time which leaves 4-6 and that what I did.
when your 15 you can work till 9pm and you have to get a break every 3 hours. 16-18 work till 10:30 break after every 4:00 hours
and 18 and up your free to work. but thats just Florida I don't know other places. I have been working since 14.

I don't know about other states, but in TENN you can start at the age of 14. Some places require you to have a reason that you need to work....in fact, if there is a kid who lives out in the boonies (rural area), and they are responsible for a parent who might be ill or unable to drive - they can get a special drivers license,..IF there is a "Chick-fil-A Restaurant in your area - I know they hire at 14 and they are a religious organization and are not open on Sunday's in observance of the Lord's Day.

usually 16...sometimes 15....some let you have a job at 14...but thats probably the youngest. You could babysit though if you are "underage" somewhat. Most babysitters start at 12 or 13 i think. See, I'm to young to get a real paying job besides babysitting and petsitting so i just volunteer at the humane until then! good luck
