When I feel as low as I think I can, I know it will be transient, so I am INrecovery. Transient since, where can one go from "lowest of the low" but up? When I am like this, you could say I don't feel "good enough" and "lack confidence" about something, therefore INsufficient....And, I guess this leads to INsecurity if you can equate that with vulnerability. It usually happens at INopportune times too (but, then again, when IS an opportune time to feel low). It is usually brought on by an uncontrollable something external and/or something within myself that just can't be easily "put together" and remedied, so likely spurred by INcompletion of some sort. I am never INconsolable, and am very amenable to comforting...FOR SURE. Never INdenial either. I embrace my feelings, feel them to my very core, then when I'm done "feeling", I clean up with "plans of action", and *whoosh*, the negativity lifts like a feather.

Insufficient. I know there's always a next step, if I have the wit to see it, and the courage to take it. But sometimes the flesh is weak, though the spirit is willing. So one must help the flesh to its feet. One finds the spirit rises with it - and once engaged one can always take one more step, after all - though one may fall down again occasionally. That's OK. Everything needs a rest - but not for so long it becomes a fixed position, or a habit.

When I am in my lowest times, I feel Incomplete, when my Grand Kids, do not come and visit, but not for long they usually come running to give me a great Big Hug, that usually gets me in Recovery.

When it seems my adversities have become overwhelming, I first give myself a rest; I put them totally out of my mind. I take some time to enjoy the things that give me pleasure. Then, I'm refreshed to "take them on" one by one. I've never felt any of the things you listed. Even in someone's death, (& there have been many), I don't need consolation for, here also, is an experience from which to gain insights.

In recovery. Because I'd immediately seek alternatives to feeling low. What caused it, what will I do about it. Meanwhile, I'd be aware of the "high" parts of my life. Whatever was making me feel low, there's a beautiful world still around me.
