People have been feeding my betta goldfish food without me knowing!! I'm not going to be able to get him his proper food for a couple days, and he's been fed goldfish food and now he actually eats it. Is this okay?

Also, does this mean I can just feed him goldfish food now, since he seems to like it so much?

It won't hurt him if that's what you mean, but it's not a proper diet for him either. I would suggest you get him some regular food the nest chance you get.

I dont know. They have 2 different diets. I have a Betta and he eats only betta pellet food wich u can get for 2$ at wallmart and you should only feed your fish 3 pellets 2 times a day so one jar/can should last thru his lifetime lol. And a tip dont leave his food out, hide it. Then nobody CAN feed the lil guy.

Actually, the nutritional value of goldfish food (cold-blooded, not tropical) and betta food (need tropical temps) are different. I would get back to the betta food as soon as you can. There are different nutrients in each food and they are specific to the breed of fish, yes?

goldfish food is ok, as it is generally all of the same stuff.
fish meal etc...
the only thing is, goldfish food tends to be more towards vegi eatters than meat, but it wont harm the fish.
The thing is, act like nothing has happened and get betta food ASAP. another thing, do let them feed it, as you can be feeding it and they can be feeding it, and the fish can get overweight, which can lead to bowel problems.
So you must keep in mind how much food he is getting aday.

I am fairly sure that feeding betta food to a betta is probably the best you can do for him - that, and getting him a heater and filter for his tank, if you don't have that already.

Yes, it is fine! just don't give it too much, because you do not want to over feed it.

Well slowly give him less and less until he is used to it. He will die if hes over-fed.
