Maybe you should leave the artificial coolness of NYC and talk a walk in the woods(by yourself).
If you have the feeling , the deer understands you.it´s a beautiful experience.
I can communicate with cats...
I n Borneo I "talked to a giant lizard (6feet) and he/she came very close , smelled at me with the tongue and walked away slowly.
Even Butterflies seem to like me...

I used to be obsessive too and the best advice I can give is fight it. I know how good it feels to be obsessed and you have to create fool proof scenarios where things will go your way. What I used to do when i liked someone is I would intentionally get forced into a situation with them. I would have someone dare me to go up and talk to them. Do not be afraid to show that your interested but actively see if how your acting is the opposite of how you feel. As for the coming off as creepy when your obsessed, learn a poker face. You can be thrilled on the inside about something, and be stone faced outside so you don't appear creepy. I have something i call a secret shame, you don't tell people what you really like but you enjoy it. So enjoy the people, say a friend dared you to kiss them or ask them out or compliment them. People fall for it all the time.

I think I feel bad at screaming at that suicidal buck that tried to become a hood ornament on my pickup, now. I enjoy the critters too, (not the possum) but sister do they seem to be tempting death allot out here! Cute little raccoons walk across the road at night in single file. What's with that? Red fox zipping across the road like a dazed linebacker. Squirrels that get 3/4 the way across the road and panic when you come around a corner, then dash back and forth till you have no idea where they went. In the late snow when the robins have already arrived they tend to fly only over the bare road and stay away from any snow covered ground. I couldn't believe how many kamikazied my wind shield! Do I talk to them, yes, but, it's more like "you whacko, what were you thinking?"

thats pretty cool and no i don't think its obsessive(unless of course u r waiting for the deer to talk back, then i would be a little worried.) just be careful if u frighten a buck they can charge ur car. it's actually kind of refreshing to hear from someone who cares that much about wildlife. keep it up just be careful and remember they are wild animals. and also just make sure u don't stop in the middle of traffic or anything. u don't want to cause a pile up. but hey the people who say your obsessed probably talk to thier pets at home right? whats the difference?

We are going to have to change your name to Flower or Bambi.
It is is not obsessive to stop and talk to the animals. Of course if they talk back, you might want to go on Oprah as the modern day Dr. Doolittle.
I would add this thought that you should recognize that while you may enjoy their presence, they may fear your presence, and like Alvin, the chipmunk, they may choose to relocate or in some cases they may choose to attack.
Think about it. If you were out there naked kissing on the side of the road would you want a deer to come up to you and start up a conversation?
I don't consider it obsessed but I do see the possibilities for things to go wrong.

Your attention while driving should be focused on driving. Instead you seem to think it is fine to be a road hazard. The deer don't care one way or another about attention.
Thinking people heartless while you disobey the law seems a bit hypocritical. If you cause an accident while deer watching and someone is hurt, then you appear to be the heartless one.

Animals are beautiful creatures, but they are to be respected. Deer are not going to converse with you any more than any other wild animal. Cute is not really a term that applies to a beautiful elegant god made creature. So yes you should tone your enthusiam down an bit, I love all animals also and hope to one day run a shelter on my property, but not because they are cute. But because some need protection and kindness

Let me get this right, you "stop the car"? Ok, so you are in violation of causing an accident just so you can make a fool out of yourself.
Heartless? Those people in the car are probably scared half to death to be in a car with you!!!
