Can an employer hold an employee pay check while the employee is on suspension from work?

They cannot hold their paycheck while they are suspended. But they do not need to pay them for the time that they are suspended.

Pay for any hours worked before the suspension can't be held. Pay for any time DURING the suspension was never earned.
