1.5 gallons x 20 days = 30 gallons
30 gallons x $2.00 = $60.00

You can multiply in any order
1.5 x 20 x 2
and get the same answer 60.

1.5 gallons x $2.00 = $3.00
20 days x $3.00 = $60.00

So you can check if your answer is correct
if you get the same answer two different ways.
