The bike sputters and lacks power when running wide open. I'm running out of ideas on what's going on. The small idle jet and bigger main jet (size 62) are clean and stock, the whole inside of the carb is clean. The filter in the tank (petcock) looks clean and OK. The gas is new and flows OK. The spark plug is black and sooty (running rich?). The air cleaner is fine. I can't find a screw to adjust the air/fuel mix. There is an idle screw, and a drain at the bottom of the float bowl. That's it, 2 screws.

The mixture screw is on the left near the choke lever.
It goes down at a 45 degree angle.
It only affects the mixture at idle, so there's no need to mess with it.
Try adjusting the valves.
To high of a float level will cause a rich running condition.
You can try dropping the needle on the throttle slide one clip position.
Did the problem slowly get worse, or happen all at once?

not sure of the carb. manufacture......could be mikuni......has a variable main needle....inside the carb. ...may need to open it & clean it......only take,s a spec of dirt to screw it up.....you can thank the E.P.A. for that one......also make sure exhaust is clear....too much carbon can cause excessive back pressure....causing it to stumble....good luck!

Check the timing, and points if it has them.
