one time as a young child of ten i lived in a neighborhood with people who were not the same skin color that i was...i was different in their eyes and they told me so every day...on day on the bus home from school an older child about 14 decided to tell me how much i was disliked by everyone on the bus and at school. i was pummeled by the older student with closed fists until i started crying...as i neared my stop i gathered my things from the floor of the bus in a heap, the older child had my shoes in their hand and refused to give them to me...with tears still in my eyes i ran from the bus...as i ran down the street the older child threw one of my shoes out the window of the bus at me...one of the children who got off at my bus stop picked it up and brought it to my house and left it on the front stoop, where i found it later that night...i never got the other one, nor do i know what happened to it...
i do however know that many many many years later, no one could find the older child anymore...weird huh?
maybe, the older child was with my shoe somewhere...

All through high school whenever someone would get too drunk and pass out, the hip thing to do was cover their faces with makeup and steal their shoes.
That being said, I've had my shoes taken quite a few times. And in makeup I look a lot like Carol Burnett.

My shoes were stolen by the Okinawan police and MP's in Yoshihara , Okinawa.
I was in a off limits town. they weren't to enter , but they took my shoes. I escaped over the roof tops barefoot and hopped a cab back to base at camp Butler.

I've had a few friends who liked to do that sort of thing as a joke. Once it happened as a gesture of hostility when I slept in a friend's room overnight. His suitemate didn't like overnight guests, most of whom were of the romantic variety, and would swipe their shoes to hide in a tree. Don't ask me why.

No, but I had a watch stolen from someone who wanted to use my phone. This was years ago when I was in college. I didn't think too much about it at the time. It was just soemone had seen the hallway from time to time.

Hiya,
Oh my god that happened to me and it was soo annoying but now looking back it was kinda funny. I was out with some mates, so we go into a posh restaurant and we sat down to have some dinner and then before we left (they had been planning it i think) one of them reached under the table and snatched my high heels and ran off into the street!

My son was always taking his shoes off at the park and someone always took them. A pair of skates once too.

Sort of. One of my friends stole them, and he threw them in a tree. I had to climb up there to get them, but I was completely drunk. It took me a while, and I think that I would have been embarrassed about the whole thing had I been sober...but perhaps I would not have fallen out and looked so awkward had I been sober.

When I lived in the dorm a girl stole my jeans. I knew it was her because I saw her wearing them. There was a small ink stain at the very bottom of the leg. I guess she didn't know about that. Also, one time the guys' dorm came over and they stole my bikini, pink bra, and thongs and raised them on the flagpole. They got in trouble because it was a Christian private school and everyone could see my unmentionable hanging on the flagpole during chapel!!!
