I always measure myself by my own standards as thats what i look for when I'm making friends. I'm always trying to be a better person to my friends and family. Interesting question all the same, what about you?

I definately have my own standards. I do however have 2 very close friends whose imput I not only appreciate but consider

Usually by my own standards but I try to be aware of others' reactions etc. in case I am waaay off base. It has been known to happen.

Why on Earth should I judge myself by what OTHERS say? That's just stupid! THE ONLY ONE THAT YOU HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING TO IS YOUR OWN GOOD SELF!
And besides, if you do that, it shows you don't have that much self confidence, which I have a lot of.

My own....I strive to do good things unnoticed and unannounced...therefore most who may judge me dont really know me...I do however have one very close friend that always seems to know and is usualy impressed with my need for anonymity and respects it.
