Today I asked someone if they had any spare cleanies so I could change a diaper and they gave me a really strange, confused look and asked, "Do you mean diaper wipes?" When I said yes, they said that they had never heard anyone refer to them as cleanies.

I checked around Google to see if anyone had ever used the term and I couldn't find anything in reference to diaper wipes.

So now I'm curious. Does ANYONE else call diaper wipes 'cleanies' or did my mother simply make that up? Hah.

Thats funny (not in a mean way). I just call them wipes. I have never heard them called cleanies. Maybe you should ask your mother if she made it up.

Never heard of "cleanies." I've called them wipies before, but usually just call them wipes. Your mom probably did make it up.

Your mother made it up. Sorry for your embarrassment. You are the only one. Just don't let your kids go through this cleanies issue to . Just call them wipes. Also it is not even a word my spell check doesn't even recognize it.

Oh confident, the wipes obsession!!! i think of all maximum each toddler interior the international has that obsession, lol My oldest daughter did. My 7 month previous daughter did on a similar time as I used disposable wipes. I now use fabric wipes which took all her relaxing away :-( recommend mummy, lol. yet while ever we are out in toddler replace rooms or at my sisters and there are "wipes" getting used, she is going nuts. hands and legs go everywhere and shakes her head from factor to factor. hehehe.
