Ville Valo from the Finnish band HIM. You should listen to some of their stuff, his voice is absolutely amazing. His singing voice is really deep but he can still sing higher than even I can! I have never heard any other male sing as wonderfully as he can, he simply has a beautiful voice.
If you're interested, listen to "Heartache Every Moment." To hear how high he can go, try "When Love and Death Embrace," but you'll have to listen to the whole song to appreciate it.

I think Harry Nilsson would be my choice. He had a 3-1/2 octave vocal range, could hit the high notes every time.
