Yes, You can buy one but, unless your insurance covers it, be ready to shell out the $$$. I own one personally and had to purchase it myself because the dr. wouldn't write the Rx for it. The one that I have is a HOVERROUND MPV4, and that set me back $5100.00, and that is a "factory refurbished" chair. A brand new one costs in the range of $7-7500.00,or more. The "mpv4" is the one they use in the t.v. commercials. Yes, it's like buying a bike(a used Harley) but remember that the upkeep is very costly also( i.e. batteries, tires, etc..)

Yes, why not... I always wanted one, but I thought about it - I figured that I shouldn't because I might jinx myself, and may end up actually needing it, and what not!

But yeah, sounds cute/funny, and it would probably be cool to just roll around in it... I'd do it cause I want to be lazy, and WHAT NOT!

You could probably buy one for whatever price they cost. You wouldn't be able to get any discounts though.
