Chains:
*Divorced (2nd time ...).
*She has custody of our son, I finally got custody of my daughter (court order).
*She has no clue what it takes to be a parent:
**They're treated more as pets than as children.
**My son was totally screwed up (kicked out of school several times, breakdowns in class, wannabe gang member, etc.)
**I was able to turn him around this summer (she decided that he needed a "man's" touch ...).
**They were both totally neglected (i.e., unscrubbed, cutting school, farmed out to various relatives/friends for "weekends" with assorted boyfriends, etc.).
Yeah, so I'm gonna be in chains for a LONG time, because she just won't leave the kids alone (messes with their minds) and does stuff to them to get back at me (putting me down, bringing them back way late on "school nights", etc.).
Too bad the kids gotta suffer, but it just makes me fight harder to ensure that they have good, stable, lives with lots of opportunities for success.

I blame nobody but myself for my situation, however:
*I fell in love.
*I proposed to her.
*I'm the one who must take responsibility for my kids' welfare, because she refuses to.
