I have been to the Hotel California in Santa Monica. Right next to the beach. Here's the address:
1670 Ocean Ave
Santa Monica, CA 90401
It's probably a 3 or 4 on a scale of 10 (you are paying for the location and the name).

the hotel California is actually a prison for drug offenders it falls under the california rehabilitation center. it may look like a hotel at the entrance but it is not a lovely place....now listen to the song and see exactly how it fits what it really is

Stole the ashtrays, the towels and the ice bucket.
I'd only give it a 4, but there weren't much else around. The only other place a had a sign that said, "Gas, Food, Bar, Fishing Tackle, Baits Motel. Creeped me out for some reason.

Nope, and I never plan to go there. I hear it is one of those places with enticing promises that fails to deliver much fun if you actually check in. Darn expensive, too; it can cost you an arm and a leg.
