Youthful just meaning not old and past her prime.
I just want to know a good ball-park figure for an 'on average' basis.

Every woman is different. When I was 26, I got pregnant first try. I'm now 29, and this is my 3rd month of TTC. Good luck!

It isn't really a matter of how often. What you really want is to time it well. You want to time sex around when she ovulates.

You can either figure out when she is ovulating by her tracking her fertility signs (I really would recommend the book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' by Toni Weschler.), or you can use ovulation predictor kits (I recommend early-pregnancy-tests.com, they are very affordable).

Sperm can survive for several (3-5) days under normal circumstances, so ever 2 days should be sufficient to make sure that there are viable sperm around for fertilization.

I strongly recommend Toni Weschler's book. Good luck!

If you are not past child bearing age then it only takes once. My Dr. told me women in their twenties are the best age for trying to concieve a baby. It only takes one time!!
