Several wrong answers here.

The correct answer is (c) 59 minutes. Imagine 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 etc - in each iteration, the number of drops doubles. So always the last iteration accounts for half the total.

Hi. Answer 1 is correct, but actually the glass may reach the halfway point after the first drop of the last minute depending on whether or not the number of drops needed to fill the glass is even or odd.

59 minutes, you can see number drops as certain amount of water. Amount of waters pouring into the glass doubles every minute. if the glass is not over flowing then it has to be 59 minute and then just enough water to fill it up in one minute.

If the number of drops doubles each minute, then the condition of the glass at 1hr - 1 minute would have to be half-full.

59 minutes. In that last minute the number of drops doubles: there's your other half.

59 minutes is the correct answer. since it doubles every minute, then 1 minute before it is full, it was half full. therefore, it was half full in 59 minutes. sounds alot like an SAT question.

If it is full after 60 minutes, it was half full one minute earlier (59 minutes).

The posters answering c are the suitable option. i'm in simple terms responding to remark approximately how unrealistic this question is. The form of drops interior the final minute is two^fifty 9 situations the form of drops interior the 1st minute. there isn't any longer adequate water interior the sea to fill this glass. :)
