I dont know about erase but I think it will ease things up a lot.

The real problem is we wont have universal health care here in the u.s. until the hmo, insurance and pharmaceutical giants are stopped. But since they pay off government officials.. that day will never come.

On top of that we have our media doing an exhaustive job showing us how "expensive" and "problematic" universal health care is for the people in countries that have it. Never mind that these media companies are owned by the republican/democrat parties that are being fed hundreds of thousands of $$$ from HMO companies. We think that News = Truth. It's the opposite.

And lastly (sorry for the rant), everyone is always talking about how universalizing health care would increase taxes. I say so what? Dont we pay enough in terms of co-payments and medications to cover additional taxes in their place?

Michael Moore's documentary "Sicko" was talking about how a lot of Americans say Canada's system is bogus cause people have to wait hours for doctors. That isn't even true, and for those that it is true for, they need special operations. I tell ya what.. if the U.S. had universalized health care, our wait times might increase too, because the 90 million ppl sitting at home without health insurance would finally be able to go get a check-up. Do they not deserve that much????
