Well, it seems that you have all bottom feeders ( which are fish that feed from the bottom they help eat excess food that falls to the bottom and help reduce Nitrite problems that accurr when excess food breaks down) The Betta is not though. A betta is a fish that should be seperated from all other fish they are aggressive and territorial. They are known to kill other fish especially there own( some are known to be passive though) I guess it depends on the Betta. On to adding more Fish you can add up to 20 inches of fish in your tank. Like most cory catfish get about 3-4inches that is 3-4 gallons taken up. So if you have 3 that's around 9 gallons, so you are safe to add some more fish. You already have what is called a "community" Fish, so I would only add other community fish, like Sword-tails, Molly's, Guppies, Neons, platy's. Just remember only add up to 3 fish a week in your tank. If you add to many at one time you can have ammonia and nitrite spikes which can kill your fish. I would take the betta out and put him in a bowl or a vase he is the only fish that can live without a filtration system. Also make sure you have a heater all tropical fish need a heater. (Goldfish do not need a heater) But NEVER put goldfish with tropical fish. Oh, one more thing get something called Aquarium salt. It's great to help reduce stress, and disease, and help bring color out in the fish. I hope I helped if you have any more questions just ask

Yes, you can add more fish but consider not only their sizes but also compatibilities. You already have three from the catfish family and so you should consider some middle to top level tank dwellers. You don't need any more bottom feeders and you have a top dwelling betta. The fish that you add should not be aggressive as the betta will be susceptible to fin nipping. The catfish you have right now are peaceful fish.
Also bear in mind that some fish prefer to be in schools of at least five or six and so this number should be your limit for adding to a 20 gallon tank that already has five creatures. Consider some danios, harlequins or rasboras. If you choose some barbs, make sure they are not an aggressive type such as the tiger barb. If you choose live bearing fish, be prepared for potential babies. I encountered this problem with platys. I had to send some of them to the store where I got the parents. The web site that I cite is useful because he will tell you if your tank is overstocked and will tell you if you have a good combination of species. You can submit your proposed tank ahead of time and then you should get a response.

Neons should survive, but sometimes they will nip the long fins of hte betta. You do have room for more since those are all small fish. I would say you could get as many as six more if you get ones that get no bigger than two inches. Good luck with your new tank! Pick out compatable TROPICAL fish that you are attracted to!

You certainly have room for more fish, select them carefully and add them slowly,to allow the bacteria colonies to keep up with the increasing bio-load. Don't add any more that 2 or 3 fish every two weeks. Also,as the population grows, the need for frequent water changes will grow too.

You can get more fish, but I wouldn't get Neons. I suggest maybe a larger shoaling fish like Red Tail Rasboras. Don't get other Gouramis. They may show aggression towards your Betta.

You do have room for a few more fish. Tetras like to school, and in odd numbers usually, so you could add 5 more tetras and be okay as long as you do your regular weekly 20% water changes and proper substate siphoning and filter maintenance. 7 would be pushing it a little too far.

the rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water, so i think your tank can handle a few more fish, if you want to get neon's u certainly can, iv got quite a few they don't eat very much and are relatively easy to take care of once they get acclimated, i know alot of people have problems with them, if you introduce them slowly and your water is good they should survive, if they live more then a week most likely they will be fine.

As long as you are able to do regular water changes using a siphon, you can easily add quite a few more fish. Look at the platys, rasboras, or dwarf gouramis.

I think you have room for more, ask someone at the pet store, there is a rule about how many fish per gallon tank you have.
