Sonia is an okay name, it's not one of those overly popular names.

Love it.

one of my best friends is named Sonia, and because she is so incredibly smart and nice, she makes me like the name more.

pretty. I like the spelling "Sonia" or "Sonya." either look fine and are easy to read.

i personally love it. Just the sound of it, i love it. But its good as long as you like it, because its your baby and you get to name her. I think its really beutiful, and if it feels like the right name say yes to sonia. Its your desicion. p.s. congrats on the baby!

I feel the name should choose the baby. I know it sounds a bit cheesy but it is true. My name fits me perfectly, but I know that doesn't always happen.

Remember Sonya Henning? From Sweden.
You're too young, huh?
She was a fabulous skater.

I love the name. Of course my name is Sonya (pronounced Sawn-Yah instead of Sown-Yah), so thats probably why I like it.

Plus, it means wisdom. One of the cooler name meanings out there.

I love that name, but personally I prefer the spelling Sonya. Either one works though.
