- nursing pads
- 2 night gowns
- 3 pairs of underwear
- 2 bras

- going home clothes
- camera and video camera
- a season of Friends

there are a few things i'd omit, and one I'd add - bring your own pillow. the hospital ones are these plastic ones that are SO uncomfortable.

Things I'd omit - don't bother with maxi pads, the hospital will provide you with plenty. You won't need nursing pads either as your milk won't be in before you leave. you probably only need one pair of underwear, for when you leave... I just wore the mesh undies the hospital gives you while I was there, because i was bleeding so heavy I didn't want to stain my own undies. DVD's... you won't have time to watch them, and my hospital at least didn't have DVD players in the rooms. You won't need diapers or wipes for the baby, the hospital will supply you with plenty.

I wish you the best of luck!!

With my first pregnancy when I went to the hospital I took a BIG diaper bag and i brought my robe, slippers, 2-3 pairs of socks, 4-5 undies (just in case..i had csec and sometimes you get blood on them), 2 bras, 2-3 nursing night gowns, nursing pads, 1 pair of going home clothes, picture outfit for daughter, 3 outfits to put her in (they do spit up), booties, mittens. I would only bring diapers and wipes if you plan on not going home right away. I brought my laptop to get online and used it maybe a few hours each night. Bring some blankets and a car seat. I was in the hospital from Thursday morning to sunday evening and all that was good for me.

Yes! I'm not sure if they told you, but you'll only be there for 24 hours. I would reccomend leaving the toiletries at home and showering at home after the baby is born. Not to mention they have all of that at the hospital any way. Specially the maxi pads.

- nursing pads - no need your milk isn't in yet
- 2 night gowns - you'll wear the hospital night gowns
- 3 pairs of underwear - You won't even wear any
- 2 bras - Again... you won't wear any
- slippers and robe - Okay to bring
- going home clothes - Okay
- camera and video camera - Okay
- a season of Friends - You'll be sleeping
- change of clothes for my husband - he could go home and change.

FOR BABY - Baby stuff is lacking
- diapers
- wipes
- going home outfit
- booties and mittens
- 2 receiving blankets
Car Seat!
T-Shirt!
Hat or something to cover the head
And a blanket warmer then a receiving blanket

You are too cute. And efficient as well ;)

Make sure you bring a bigger size bra than you have worn during the pregnancy. You. will .be. amazed.

As for the season of Friends...highly doubtful that you will have the time with visitors and the couple of naps you will need to take in.

Deoderant, toothpaste, toothbrush ...Yes! Slippers & robe & night gown, yes, you want to try and look decent for visitors I suppose.

Going home clothes.& undies.. Yep, make sure they are easy pants to get into.

Camera..yep.
Very thoughtful regarding clothes for husband.

I'd be really surprised if you had a chance to take a shower. They practically toss you out of your room right after the baby! LOL

Stuff for the baby? Well, I personally don't think you'll need a whole lot except for a quality car seat. Unless you want to take a picture of the babe in a special outfit.

God Bless you and your new family!!

I would say that you are about perfect. The only thing you probably don't need is the season of Friends. From experience (4 kids ) You won't have time to watch anyway. Maybe during labor, but after the baby is born you will be busy with company, breastfeeding and the much needed sleeping you will be doing. I think you did a great job packing!

Well, like someone else said I would cut down on the clothes, the hospital will provide you with a gown (plus you don't wanna get your own messy right?) also you may want to pack some lip balm bc from all the heavy breathing your lips will need some moisture. Good luck!

I'd cut down on the clothes, you won't need 2 bras or 2 nightgowns, you will be in a hospital gown for alot of your stay, and one bra will do. The hospital will usually have diapers and wipes for you, and they give you a blanket too. You don't want to bring a whole suitcase, especally if you will be moving from a labor/delivery room to a recovery room, it just more stuff to lose track of.

I just had my baby 3 weeks ago.I brought a small portable fan because I get hot.You never know how they set the thermostat.I also brought snacks and drinks incase I got hungry after the kitchen closed.Don't worry about too many diapers because they give them to you in the hospitol and maxi pads as well. And don't let them push you to give the baby formula either. You will be groggy from the pain killers and your colustrum may be slow. They did that to me so then my baby got confused and never latched.I'd say you packed fine.Best wishes.

I would keep everything that you have there (agree with the "Friends" with others though) But I would probably add this.
Extra batteries, cassettes/cds for the electronics
Extra going home outfit. We found out that the one we got was too intricate for a newborn to be wearing! And when we finally got the nurses to put our baby in it, she soiled it!
Thank you cards for the Dr. who gave birth to your baby and the staff. You feel so indebted to the people who help you so much.
Those are the things I had with me besides everything else there..oh yeah! I had my relaxation cd and i screamed at my husband to turn that thing down RIGHT NOW!!
Good luck.

Put in formula, and bottles, and leave out the seasons of friends. I don't think hospitals have dvd players neway.
