sounds like your vent pipe may be clogged or if you are on the ground floor of "slab on grade" type construction the drain pipe may be rotten. in the first case the air vent pipe that runs all the way through your roof may have debris in it and your drain is trying to suck air as the water try's to drain. vent pipes normally don't have a cover so you can get on the roof and look down the pipe with a flashlight to look for blockage, the pipe will be about the size of a coke can and like i said wont be covered, (there may be more than one). if it is blocked you can rent a drain snake and use the tip that looks like a stretched out spring to help pull out the blockage. in the second case if its on the first floor of a house with concrete floor at ground level the drain pipe may have rotted out . unless the house is over 30 years old or excessive amounts of drain cleaner have been used it is unlikely the drain is rotten. but to check it out remove the drain cover and feel around with a straightened out wire hangar or something similar. you should be able to feel if the pipe is ok. if not call a plumber.

A blockage somewhere beyond the shower, you require it to be plunged . drain cleaners only act on fat particles not hair..
OR get a plumber to lift the inspection plate in the garden and rod-out
