No good knock off out there. Don't buy it cheap on e-Bay - it's a scam. The best deal is usually online - Doctors Foster and Smith is a good reputable site and you can get the real thing cheaper.

The cheap knockoffs are dangerous. Just use the Frontline or Advantage as they are extremely safe and you'll spend less money in the long run. Try ordering them on-line.

None of the knockoff brands work as well as the original, you can try the Hartz, you can try the Biospot, or the 8 in 1, but none of them are as good as frontline, they last for about 2 weeks and completely wear off, so you end up spending the same amount.

I do not know about for cats, but Atwoods sells a really good product called Xema for dogs. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Frontline from Wal-mart. One of my neighbors bought some from Wal-mart and it killed their dog.

There is this stuff by Hartz called "4 in 1 flea and tick drops Plus+" if that helps any!
