Last week I proposed a trade:

What should I do?

OF - Grady Sizemore

Commish and league would not cancel the trade, if I tried.
think in the end, this will be a positive for my team?
Upton not avail. Best avail is Kelly Johnson, Barfield, or using Lugo (already have him)

If your league has a veto right for all trades you are allowed to veto the trade yourself. Otherwise, your statement on the result of the trade is correct. Sorry.
Your best be right now is to just pick a player off waivers or free agency that plays every day and just not worry about it anymore. Look for Mark Grudzielanek of the Royals. He is available on many leagues because he is not a slugger or stolen base threat. But he plays everyday so you do not need to worry about him.

For a 12 team league you seem to have a pretty deep team. While Lugo was horrible at the beginning of the season he has been pretty decent the last few weeks, so you might not be completely screwed.
Otherwise with Markakis, Granderson and Lincecum on your bench you probably have the ammo to go and trade for someone you could use as filler until Utley gets back in a month or so.
Good luck.

Well, at least you got Griffey out of it. When the trade is finalized drop Schilling from you DL and put Utley on it. Then pick up a 2B that would be easier to drop like Mark Ellis. He puts up desent numbers for a second baseman and is usually hotter in the second half than the first. If not, he'll be easy to drop when Utley come back. At least he's a better option than Lugo!

It looks great for a 12-man league, but didn't Tejada break his hand too? And he's STILL ON THE DL. I'd say u've got a real genuine problem with Utley. I'd probably use K. Johnson at 2B instead of Lugo.
From the yahoo.com article on today's game:
Utley, batting .336 with 17 homers and 82 RBIs, didn't think he'd be sidelined for a month.
"I think it will be sooner than that," he said.

How is your team doing if it's fine don't worry! Tell your buddy the trade and he may understand. If that doesn't work than either but Utley on the DL list or remove him to get a new player! Good Luck

You KNOW he only accepted because of the broken hand. How timely. That's pretty weak in my book. Bad form.
I would appeal to the other owner's good nature and/or the commish to overturn it.
If you can't overturn it, you're stuck.
UPDATE: Okay, well Griffey is banging well, and your team is still stacked. It sucks, but I might hang tight and see if Utley comes back sooner than predicted. He could be in play for your stretch run. I wouldn't do anything dramatic. Your team is very solid top to bottom.

unusually solid team for a 12 man league good for you.
sadly you're stuck if no one will overturn it or vote to veto the trade, but like victor said lugo's not as bad as he was before....and you've got a bit of firepower for a trade for a replacement possibly

You offered him a crappy trade, left it out there, and got stuck. That is the risk you take leaving a trade out there. It looks like you have a pretty good team if you are in a standard league. Upton just came off the DL. Is he available?
