It depends.
The Law of Attraction.
If you are the type of person who couldn't live a single day without having a problem, then you will easily find problems wherever you look.
If you are the type of person who fixes things, then you'd always want to have solutions around, wouldn't you?

It's far easier for me find my own solutions, as others can't possibly know all the turns & twists & possible outcomes as I do. Someone may observe that I have a problem & suggest that I choose "A." Now, I know that A will involve B, & then C, & the whole alphabet will get stired up unpredictably. Something like playing chess, where I think ahead many, many moves. The analogy to chess is also a good one to avoid problems in the first place. I won't give you an example because the last two problems were far too complex, & would bore you to tears.

It is easier to find solutions to problems..
it may be economical, physical, emotional, or psychological.. but in varying degrees ,and with some patience and efforts solution is possible..
fixing a tap , or solving the hung up computer.. installing the new program to finding the job etc. are few examples which I could able solve to my satisfaction.
But finding Problem with others' sollutions means rejecting others advice and guidance or doings.
No ,, I do not do that . if it helps I accept that also... outright rejection means going to get more troubled

Every solution is a new problem
because there is no complete solution to a problem of whatever size it may be
recent example
Problem Russian Invasion in Afghanistan
Solution Fund the freedom fighters
Created a new problem
Problem Taliban
Solution American raids
Created a new problem Taliban expansion to the rest of the world.
Solution Raid on Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon etc
Problem Nazis killing Jews
Solution Settling them in their promised land
creates a new problem so on

Problems are easier for me to find. Most recent example: I click on any category in Yahoo, and every question on there is basically a 'problem'... sometimes there are solutions (answers) but not every time, so I'd say I'm more easily finding problems. :o)

Seem to be equally gifted at both.
I am great at coming up with great ideas, approaches and solutions to situations and they are seldom in the box, this makes me great at my work especially while facilitating a group, which takes on the toes thinking! Unless it is my own problems, seem to be in the box a lot more in that regard.
But
I am also really good at seeing the big picture so I can usually see the holes in an approach or solution that will not serve the person or situation. ( Wish I was as good at seeing my own own, I guess that is why reflection from people around us is so important.)

Problems are a perception about the world and about reality. A problem denotes a difficulty. There are no difficulties in life, only our perceptions of that reality.
I think it is easier to assess the solutions that others formulate as there is less of a vested interest in the outcome. Whenever emotions are involved, the ability to think clearly can become clouded.

I have an easier time finding problems with others solutions...
My example has to be my mother in the nursing home...
She has been in there 3 years now and has a large lump growing on her neck...
I went to the office to ask who do I speak to in order to get
x-rays on my mom...
They told me to go to the head nurse in the hallway...
I went to talk to the head nurse and as I started to ask her what to do, she got all frustrated and started to walk away from me saying I should have checked with the office...
I told her I did and was told to check with her...
She got mad and wouldn't take my info down, so I went over her head to get action in management...
I got a hold of the doctor and x-rays have now been taken and my mom will be cared for...
Now the nurse that was mad at me for interfering has called me at home to tell me how my mom is...
So I have to kick butt to get things done and I don't like others ways and my way is better at getting results...
The nursing home is not that good, but it is all I can afford and I can't take care of my mom at my home because I am disabled and could not bathe her or pick her up if she fell...

Problems with other solutions are easier for everyone to find, but that doesn't mean you can't do both.
