Peoples always judge you by the things that you done wrong, they'll could never see the goods that you do. If you done 1000 things that is good and wonderful, like Vick helping his family members they can't see it. It's expected of you being a good person in society, but if you do bad 1 thing it's like the world is hating you, judging you like your the worst person ever. He's put himself in an unfortunates situation, so peoples will judge him.

What I have heard from ESPN, is that it was like a torture factory...without going into a lot of specifics. I've read more on here about what was going on than in the news..
The fact is that dog fighing is illegal...when I initially heard about it I thought that maybe he didn't know, because it was during football season, when he wasn't even home when they did the initial search of his property.
Well, now it is well past the end of the football season, and he had all that time since to clean up whatever was going on.
NFL players have been getting in a lot of trouble in the last couple of years. It seems that since the incident between the Pacers and Pistons, law enforcement has been really watching professional athletes. We've seen all the trouble that the Bengals were having last season, and now Pacman Jones and a few others have had run-ins since the end of football season...and now it's Vick.
He's a smart guy, to not be aware of what has been going on and the added scrutiny that professional athletes have been under in the last couple of years is not bright. It seems almost as though his attitude was that they wouldn't catch him...and he probably truly feels that he did nothing wrong.
My point is that he had an opportunity to clean up the mess once he got home...but instead, he let it continue to happen, and it is a good bet that he was involved in some way. Animal welfare officers take to time and build a solid case before they move. I watch animal planet, and see how they operate. Often they have undercover officers, especially in animal cruelty fighting cases, who have footage or other solid evidence before they bring charges.
It isn't like people, when they try make sure people are protected so that more people are hurt or killed, they are much more likely to move sooner rather than later...in the case of animals, because those cases are typically harder to prove and they are more likely to get light sentences, they take longer to build a really strong case before they move to arrest.
I feel for him and his family...but he has to know what is going on at his house when he is home. What if it had been a kid that had been killed in his home while he was present...would be accept a statement stating that he didn't know it happened?
Yes, we should wait until all the facts are presented in the case before judging him...but he also has to take responsibility for his actions or inaction if he knew what was going on...

Well for one there is a mountain of evidence against Vick. I agree that he hasnt been proven guilty, but his name is mentioned over 50 times in the indicment and apparently was the ringleader of this dogfighting operation. In these indicment cases there is a guilty verdict in 9 out of 10 cases. So there is a very high chance Vick will be convicted. Outside of that I think the people that say he should be thrown in a cage of pitbulls and that kind of stuff is a little unnecessary. I mean that's just sick. He'll get what he deserves when he's convicted to 5+ years in prison and his NFL career is flushed down the drain.

Why defend him or cut him slack? Just don't make any decision about him one way or the other until the evidence is shown and the courts decide. Look at him the same way you always did, an overrated below average QB. This way you are not cutting him slack or crucifying him, which is up to the courts to do and not up to us. I personally don't give a damn about Vick, but if he did do the things he is accused of then he can rot in jail. After that hopefully the remainder of his life is boring and painful. If he didn't do it, then let him go back to playing his crappy style of football.

Look we realize that he has not been proven guilty but there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that points to him. His name was mentioned over 50 times in the indictment. Maybe his family did take advantage of him but hey he is stupid if he doesn't know whats going on at his own property. In addition evidence is pointing to Vick betting on these dogs, so dude had knowledge. Look I am a dog lover but even people that I know that aren't dog lovers say that this is one of the most gruesome things they have ever heard off. Even if he had just knowledge of the going ons he is guilty. Would you want to work with someone like that? If he is that careless, wreckless and heartless there is no telling whatelse he is capable of. In addition, this was something he was doing for profit--poor thing I forgot hes hurting for money. NOT. NFL needs to suspend his ignorant *** without pay and eventually throw him out of the league and the court system needs to put him in jail. People go to jail and do time for starving one dog. According to reports dozens of dogs were totured. Do not feel sorry for him, feel sorry for his ignorance

I dont knock anyone for their beliefs, I haven given support to the Humane Society but PETA comes off a little too leftist for me
Seems to me they rush to judgement and they're going after him on unproven information by trying to bully
the Falcons, NFL, and Nike to dump Vick, isn't it slanderous, he hasn't been convicted.
aren't they with malice trying to take his livelihood away?
He is innocent till proved other wise, I dont knock their cause but the rest of us work and pay taxes and we buy the tickets to the games , and its amazing they have time to go around chanting and so forth (get a job)
I am an animal lover.. and this is very upsetting, but the facts aren't out on the table as of yet
do you remember the drama during the Olympics when Tanya Harding made the news, they held off until it ran through the court system before deciding if they would boot her( if found guilty) ,, they couldn't give back the chance to win a medal but they could strip her of the medal, although she did poorly .....
.. any miss treatment of animals is horrible , he should at least have to do service in animal shelters if not convicted, he needs to understand why its wrong no matter how little or great if any involvement
Look at the guys at Duke, look at the security guy during the 1996 Olympics, (the bombing)
he put himself in a bad situation if this doesn't teach him nothing will
Vick needs a life coach , and he needs to dump his so called friends and any low life family members

Are You kidding? Just because his family is "taking advantage" of him has nothing to do with him raising pitbulls for fighting. Just because it hasn't been "proven" that he had anything top do with fighting, I guess the 20-30 dogs that he had in a blacked out area behind his home doesn't throw up a red flag. Please. I know he must be hurting for money so he needs to bet on which dog would kill the other one. Poor guy. I hope that he is made an example of. Now I do love dogs but pitbulls have no other use that to be bred for fighting. So Just get rid of them. All of them . I've heard it before too, It's the way they are raised, BULL. THere is no good pitbull only a dead one. But that doesn't mean to let them kill each other. They are not int he wild fighting to survive. They are killing each other for the pleasure of others. Michael Vick being one of them.

ESPN, media outlets and PETA are really the three factions leading the charge against Michael Vick.
They are all borderline zealot organizations and will only be emboldened if Michael Vick gets convicted. Why else would they put every ounce of their strength behind taking him down? It's really getting sickening.

It is a shame that Michael Vick will probably be set free. No matter how overwhelming the evidence; OJ Simpson, Ray Lewis, Michael Irvin, Paris Hilton, Michael Jackson, etc. money talks and bullshit walks. I was really targeting him for my fantasy team this year...darn it

Letting his family take advantage of him?
He's accused of participating in the activities - training the dogs and killing the ones that don't perform.
That doesn't sound like letting his family take advantage of him.
Certainly he deserves his day in court. But I think the reason he is being prejudged by the public is the dog stuff in combination with all the other things he has been involved in over the years (airport water bottle, Ron Mexico, herpes, etc.). He's really brought this on himself.
