why do white socks turn black when they are dirty & black socks turn white?

i do keep my feet clean but even with new trainers they still change... why?

white socks pick up dust
and black soks pick up lint.

i have the same problem, i guess the solution is to wear sandals?

Dirt shows on the white socks easier than black ones
&
The black socks color fades probably due to the fact that a dye was used to reach that color

the dye is running out of the black socks and into the white socks

White dirt easily shows on black and vice versa.
