Welcome to Southern Cal! I hear that you want to transfer to USC or FUCLA.

"What is the lowest GPA I should maintain?"

According to U.S. News ranking: National Universities, your school belong to fourth tier. It depends on your major. For Pre-Med, 3.8 or 3.9. For business/econ, 3.5. For Cinema, 3.8 or 3.9. All the others, at least 3.00. I recommend you increase your GPA in order to get some scholarships. I am sure as a University of Spoil Children that will be no problem.

"What should I do for extracurriculars?"

Again, what is your major?
Pre-med, any research projects?
Cinema, are you acting?
Others, club president will be nice. But all the other position will be fine.

"After how long should I transfer?"

ASAP! Normally, we recommend you should transfer prior to your junior year.

Several issues:

A. Not all the undergraduate classes that you took may not be transferable. For instance, SC accounting always rank top tier in the nation. Thereby, their "basic" accounting is not your regular basic accounting. You will need to retake the class once you get here.

B. Normally, the first two years of your college/university are for your general education classes. Thereby, you can fool around and be undecided. And upper level division classes are different from school to school. Thereby, you must transfer prior to your junior year.
