How to I get a business license?.?

I'm a pro at working up estimates and giving material quotes for home plans but I have no Idea how I would get a business license and pay taxes...

go to the city clerk's office and apply to get one. then you'll need to post a notice in the newspaper in the area telling all what you are doing. it's not really that hard

Contact your local courthouse to find out if a license is even required. If one is, you will have to apply at the court clerk's office.
