Who thinks people should stop asking questions about Harry Potter? He is the most annoying fictional character ever created and if he were real I would personnaly hunt him down and kill him with my bare hands. I find him more annoying than the Crazy Frog, i brought his CD, game (Crazy Frog Racer) and a singing doll to cinvince everyone i luv the crazy frog compared to Harry bleeding Potter.

There are worse questions - and usually asked by perverts in all the subject categories. Makes me wonder why Yahoo doesn't just capitulate to these people and have a sex category. They don't police the rules they insist on us signing into so they may as well recognise people just want to be rude/provocative etc. As for the HP questions, at least you've got a proxy for identifying all the idiot teenagers!

I dont think people should stop asking questions about a topic against which an individual holds a negative opinion. Afterall, this is the whole premise behind Yahoo Answers - to get views/answers on varied subjects/questions. You may want to ignore those questions that put you off or give them a thumbs down.

In addition to what Jacqueline says, Yahoo Answers may on its end want to update the "Answers" application by adding a feature to the user profile section that allows members to indicate/mark categories that they detest. This should enable "Answers" to block any such content from the particular members' user interface.

Well, at least you have the choice to read the book or not, or watch the film or not. Shame though you were forced to listen to all the media hype ... poor you.

They should have a new category 'harry potter/Madelaine' and we could just avoid all the questions!

I do.
This series is beyond "culture", it is (loudly) advertised entertainment. And only young naives "buy" this sort of literature.
