How old is she? Oh, it doesn't matter, either way, get in touch with her parents and tell them! They will help her. Or tell someone close to her. She needs help. More accurately, the baby needs help. No one can really help her but herself. I understand how hard that must be, and there is only so much you can do, but drinking and smoking weed like that can cause serious harm to the baby, and she also should have prenatal care. Yes, women have had babies for millenia without prenatal care, but infant and mother mortality rates were higher then too.
Good luck.

some of the things she does are not going to hurt her child ( i worked 12-18 hours days/nights as an ICU nurse till a few days before delivery- and that was considered normal) but she really needs to think about her other lifestyle choices- there are some that say that cannabis increases blood flow to the uterus, but really that is just an excuse, and an occasional glass of wine is unlkely ( but not proven) to be okay, but is she really only drinking one or at most two glasses of wine, and only on the weekend. ?

Is a few good weekends substitute for a lifetime of guilt and hardship( for the mother_) or suffering and struggle ( for the baby) worth it?
You sound like a good friend and as such, you should say something to her, and if that is not effective, to someone who has more influence over her, and try to get her to realise that 9months may seem like a long time but a lifetime of guilt over a ( needlessly ) handicapped child is much longer

The baby can have many defects because of the drinking and smoking. The standing on her feet for that long is hurting her, not the baby. Possibly the stress of that could hurt the baby...

oh well for me if she doesnt care about her own baby what makes you think she going to care about what you say or what you do so her baby will b born ok.theres alot of things that could happend to the baby it think you should talk to her i try to make her understand that what shes doing is wrong and if she doesnt want to understand dont do nothing .s he not going to learn till she doesnt see her baby in really bad conditions thats the only way some ppl learn.later on shes going to regreat it so badly as a good friend a i will let her learn from her own mistake couse if you did everything you could so she would understand and she still doest understand let her learn from her own mistake .

If the doctor find drugs in her system she can get her child taken away from her immediately. She needs to STOP NOW!!!! Please talk to her and let her know. Her child could have some kind of birth defect when born.

Dear Friend, Your friend can get support and information at a pregnancy resource center, which can be found by googling optionline, or call 1800afamily. Please encourage your friend to take good care of her baby. Sincerely, Runner

drag her to the doctor!!! I know it sounds unreasonable but she needs to see a doctor A.S.A.P. Her and the baby need medical attention. Talk to someone close to her even if she gets upset. She'll thank you in the long run..

She is harming her baby if she smokes and drinks and is pregnant. She should not be doing this. This may and probably already has caused birth defects in her baby.

Please persuade her to stop immediately.

Kick her in the face so she HAS to go to the hospital.

Evil and probably unnecessary but that's the only way I can think of making her go to the hospital.
