When you read an answer or question from someone does it make a difference what their avatar is?

From mine you might think that I am a crazy teen punk, but what if i changed it to Confucious then what your opinion about me be?

Not that this matters at all, but does an avatar generally define how you look at the person?

Physical appearances are our first indication of whether or not the person is someone we would want as a friend. For example, if I see the avatar of someone named "killer" and that person is wearing weird clothing, I probably wouldn't take his advice seriously. To avoid that, I don't look at the avatar until after I've answered the question. "Killer" might be seriously asking for information.

I think many people assume you are a certain way by the way your avatar looks but not everyone....I don't even pay attention to people's avatars....hell, half of the time i don't even know if it was a boy or girl who asked a question....

Sometimes the avatars reflect, but I suppose it all depends on the thoughts that are put into words...I pay more attention to the words.

You probably wouldn't be able to tell my personality by looking at my avatar.

Mine just means that I love my dog! But really they just make the questions and answers more interesting, and fun, too.

My avatar combined with my name makes people fear me, or hate me.

Only when it's a rude one, otherwise I just go off the question.
