The TV's won't stop working, You simply will not be able to watch broadcast programming with them if they aren't built for high definition broadcast. By that time there wil be some high-def tuners that will wotk with the older sets, and satellite and the old set will still work with videogames, cable boxes, satellite receivers and such.

one of the three TV's in my house is high-def.

I doubt it. It's 2 years away and I'm sure all cable companies will find a way to bring HD to old television. Not that many people can afford HD TVs unless the price drops as well. :)

Probably. It's on it's third year, and even though TV's are supposed to last a long time, I'm not one to take the best care of electronics, especially video games (went through 4 PS2's).

Who knows? I hope not, it's only a year old and has built in DVD and Video player/recorder.

That's scary knowing that!

Why the hell would they need to do that?

Luckily, one of mines CAN recieve digital signals! Only problem is, it's THE BROKEN ONE!

probably, but i don't really care that much, i don't watch
much tv and ours are old anyway. and it would be nice to
see the hubby not sleeping in front of it.

doubt it. they said everything would crash in 00 because of Y2K but nothing happened
