you arent going to find a frog that doesnt eat live things and that likes to be held im sorry about that but the pet that you described sounds like a parakeet because if you get them at a young age they do like to be held and you can play with them with little bird toys and they love it and they just eat bird seed either that or a guina pig but they tend to bite a little more. snakes lizards and turtles eat live things like worms and insects you can feed a turtle strict vegetables but usually they should have a ballanced diet and anybody that says a turtle doesnt bite is crazy i have scars okay and when they bite they clamp and dont let go and you have to put alcohol up to their nose because it gets them to let go. and snakes have to eat live things no matter what they dont eat vegetables or fruit.

Yes, frogs do not like to be held because of the salt on our skin, and most eat live crickets. Snakes eat live prey as well, it can be dead but most wont touch something not moving. I would go with a Uromastyx! They are very friendly and like to be held like bearded dragons, but they are vegetarians so no crickets or anything. They are bit pricey but they fit the description of what you want.

The red-eyed tree frog not poisonous:
These frogs are carnivores and feed primarily at night, feasting on crickets, moths, flies, grasshoppers, and sometimes even smaller frogs! Basically, they will eat any insect or food item that they can fit into their mouths. In captivity, babies eat mostly fruit flies and pinhead crickets.

I'm sorry but there are NO reptiles or amphibians that like to be held, and most reptiles and amphibians want live or recently-killed food.

Turtles and tortoises especially do not like being held, and frogs can actually be badly hurt if you hold them wrong- besides they eat live food.

How about a lizard? Actually i don't know if lizards or frogs like to be held.
Maybe a snake?

A guinea pig. There are very tame and nice but I would recommend whatever you get, try to get a baby one so you can get it used to being handled by you.
