It seems America has to be the ones to always step in and help other countries. Why dont the take care of their own problems? The indians, didnt ask for anyone to come here, but yet people have. So why is it that everyone wants to come here so bad, and for us to have to clean up their messes, give them grants, or federal aid. And i dont need a statistic scale to answer this question. Or someone to dodge it like a typical politician. Cant any one give a straight answer? These other countries have lots of people that out number their government, dont they have the intelligence to band together and fight back? And as far as outsourcing, the government is the one that puts the taxes on the companies, and also gives federal aid to companies to outsource.

Whoa, did you wake up bleeding red, white, and blue today or what?
Everyone comes to America because it has historically been known as the "land of opportunity." Whether or not this myth is true anymore, is another story. Yes, we say we help out the poor, the impoverished that come here...but the reality is, we don't, and what we do do (which is very little, mind you) is simply not enough. "The Land of the Free" has lately become "The Land of the Rich..." oil money and big business run this country and all everyone wants to do is complain about the immigrants or the countries who we help out "so much." This has happened so many times in American history, it makes me sick.
And those countries we "liberate" and "aid?" Well, we aren't helping out those countries because we have a big heart, we are helping out those countries because we stand to gain something politically, or economically. For example, after WWII, we helped western Europe to its feet. Why? Because we were afraid of Russia, so we wanted to keep our allies strong.
If I were you, I'd do some research on that opinion. You may find that this country isn't as great as the media would have you believe.

Well one reason is that they've been spoiled with programs such as NATO, since we've offered countries under NATO so much protection since World War 2 (which I get why it was needed then, but I have no idea why it's still around now), these countries simply haven't needed to have their own strong military. The average age for someone in the German military, for example, is in their 40's!

Are you serious?
Other countries have elected leaders only to have the US foment discourse which leads to the overthrow of a duly elcted government.
The US has mined the harbor of a sovereign nation, adopted a unilateral blockade against another, meddled in the internal politics of countless others.
Please, be more aware of your country's political history before you ask such a question.

Often the real issue is that the world community doesn't aprove of /how/ they're taking care of thier own problems. For instance, if they're resolving thier differences by hacking hundreds of thousands of people to bits with machettes, that can upset some of the more sensative souls in the developed world.

In the case of Iraq, quite simply Dumbya didn't want to give it that option. As bad as Iraq was before Dumbya, now it is worse. He thought he could steal the oil in exchange for "democracy" ... really just the cover story for stealing... just as "Christianizing" was the cover story for stealing native American's land in the 18th and 19th Century USA. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I wouldn't mind helping so much if other countries' governments and citizens didn't badmouth the US as "imperialists" and "warmongers" and "the world's police." You guys can't have it both ways!
