That was a rumor started by the media. The mainstream republican thinking has never included modifying the constitution so any foreign born person could run for the presidency. So quit believing everything some left wing moron on television attributes to the republican party and perhaps we wont have to sit and wonder when you "Libs" will have an independant and cogent thought.

First off, the man you really want for President is Rep. Ron Paul....I suggest you check him out.
It is neo-conservatives---not true conservatives--- who want him for president. The neo-cons are hitting too many snags with the unpopularity of their "frontrunners", so they are trying to encourage a "star" to come in as back-up (Fred Thompson/Schwartzenegger). However, no matter how much publicity these men get, it will not reduce the citizens' appetite and expectations for serious change this 2008 election. Unless the GOP picks Ron Paul---a true constitutional conservative American--- it is doomed without the possibility of parole. Not even Arnold the former action hero can save the party if it continues on its course.

I just want a good man to run for president, someone with character. Chances are Arnold won't have a chance to. I'm not sure on how I feel about changing the constitution for someone.

It's going to change eventually, I mean it's only a natural evolution of politics. Apparently Arnold is President in the Simpsons movie...if it happens I buying stocks in Taco Bell because according to Demolition Man it's the only fast food place left. I mean they were right about Arnold becoming governor, so if he becomes President they'll be 2 for 2...

My thoughts are that while he is a great guy with a good plan, the sad fact is that he is not a Natural born American and I will not support a change in that provision for nobody.

No way, never.
The last thing we need to do is open the door for some rich tyrant like Rupert Murdoch to run and fix the election.
Or if you are a Republican, then its good to keep George Soros from running.

I don't think he can run. Schwarzenegger wasn't born in the U.S., and therefore can't become President.

A dream or goal is not wrong, but he knows this can only happen if the people want it, as it should be.
Check out his interview on 60 Minutes about this.
